PrairieCare Fund's staff are dedicated to growing the awareness of community programming needs and work creatively to gain funding for mental health initiatives within Minnesota schools and partnering nonprofits. Whether it is meeting with local officials to talk about the benefit of our grants or putting on signature fundraising events throughout the year, this team is dedicated to doing their part in supporting those that are most in need. |
Nancy Burton - Executive Director
Nancy joined the PrairieCare Fund in 2017 as the first Executive Director. She leads the board in pursuit of our mission and vision, and is charged with implementing the organizations strategy plan and development plan. Nancy's energy and creativity has delivered immediate impact to the fundraising efforts, event hosting, and overall message to the community about our purpose. Kelli Larson - Development Manager
As PrairieCare Fund’s Development Manager, Kelli combines her dynamic personality, attention to detail and innovative style to transform the Fund’s fundraising events into unique and unforgettable experiences. She collaborates, manages and supports multiple components of the Fund’s fundraising plans including, but not limited to, annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation grants, major individual and corporate gifts, and special fundraising events. Kelli oversees, arranges, leads and/or supports our Event & Development Committees. Kelli knows what it takes to fill the gap in mental health resources. Without the hard work & dedication of her event team our mission would not be possible. Kelli Larson was drawn to the mission and vision of the fund to bring mental health awareness and programming into Minnesota communities and schools. In 2016, Kelli lost her mom to suicide and has since dedicated her days advocating for and supporting mental health awareness & accessibility to care for all people. She is a firm believer that mental health needs more candor and unashamed conversation across all sectors of life. Michael Moody - Marketing & Outreach Manager
Michael has worked hard to share who he is with anyone he meets, and support those struggling with any mental illness, but especially speaking out on the experience of many LGBTQ+ individuals. He is proud to be a mental health advocate & hero standing up for others who do not have a voice. He reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles. He believes that there is light, healing and hope throughout your mental health journey. Michael is excited to be the Marketing & Outreach Manager and enjoys diving in and helping the Fund raise more dollars and reach more people in need. In his personal life, you will find Michael getting his hands dirty as The Humble Gardener, something that has brought him peace and clarity since age 6. Sharing gardening inspiration and tips on his Instagram account (@humble_gardener) along with talking about the benefits gardening has on mental wellness.
