Twin Cities Live - Conversations on Kids & Mental Health
​

Twin Cities Live reporter Kelli Hanson highlights PrairieCare Fund 2021 Grant Recipient Brooklyn Center Community Schools. Brooklyn Center Community Schools was awarded a mental health grant in the amount of $9,841. These funds were put to use by providing a "Purple Room" for students. This Purple Room will provide a calm space for students to regulate behavior and emotions, take a mental break from their day, or seek resources for their mental health. 

This student lead project makes a big difference for the students within Brooklyn Center Community Schools. PrairieCare is proud to be part of this much needed resource for students.
KARE11 Features PrairieCare Fund - Night of Impact Gala

PrairieCare Fund speaks to the mental health needs of Minnesota youth and how the community can get involved. The Night of Impact Gala is the signature fundraising event of the year where we come together to raise funds for mental health grants. ​The funds raised at the gala will go towards providing educators with resources including mental health awareness, education, early intervention, suicide prevention and stigma reduction.
