Impact Breakfast Panelists

Panelist - Lindsey Young, Staff Writer & Assistant Editor, Minnesota Vikings
Picture
Lindsey is part of an editorial team of three with the Minnesota Vikings, where she serves as a writer and assistant editor. She writes about all things connected to the Vikings organization but especially loves producing game-day content, deep-dive features and off-field stories that make a difference. Lindsey has been with the Vikings since 2015 and has been grateful for the opportunity to experience the grand opening of U.S. Bank Stadium as well as Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center.

Outside of football, she is passionate about her Christian faith, photography, spending time with family and friends, and being advocate for mental health and suicide awareness. This past year, Lindsey started the 'Getting Open' content initiative for the Vikings that focused on all-things mental health - and ultimately shared her own experience with anxiety and depression as part of that work. 

Panelist - Brian Murray, CEO, Ryan Companies, US Inc., PrairieCare Fund Board Member

Brian is the Chief Executive Officer of Ryan Companies, where he oversees the development, communication and execution of the company’s strategic initiatives, with particular focus on organizational finances, operations and administration. He joined Ryan in 2009 and has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, leading the construction operations and shared services functions of the company.
​
Brian connects with other industry thought leaders through his participation and membership in the Construction Industry Roundtable. He is a current board member of the PrairieCare Fund, which provides resources for mental health awareness in schools, and a past board chair of the Twin Cities Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, an inner-city college preparatory school for under-resourced youth.

Panelist - Dr. Russ Morfitt, Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Learn to Live.

​Dr. Russ Morfitt is the Co-Founder and Chief Clinical Officer of Learn to Live. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Minnesota.  Dr. Morfitt has been helping people live better lives for more than 20 years, first through treating anxiety in underserved populations in his clinical practice and, in recent years, through delivering the same Cognitive Behavioral Therapy concepts digitally at Learn to Live.

Moderator - Rick Nordvold, Partner/CEO, Growth Operators & PrairieCare Fund Board Member

Rick started Growth Operators in 2010 as a one-person consulting and advisory firm. Over the years, he's balanced serving clients and executive leadership of the firm. As their Sr. Partner and CEO, Rick now spends the majority of his time chairing their leadership team and developing and overseeing their long-range vision and near-term growth strategy, while serving clients from time to time. 
​
Before Growth Operators, Rick spent nearly 20 years in accounting, finance, administrative, and operational roles. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Anderson and then joined Best Buy, where he led Corporate Development and Corporate Finance. Rick then joined Golf Galaxy as CFO leading the company's initial public offering and, later, its merger with Dick's Sporting Goods. Thereafter he led finance and operations for privately held Griffin International Companies' before starting Growth Operators. He's passionate about business growth and serves on the boards of several for-profit and not-for-profit organizations, one being, PrairieCare Fund!
