Did you know that one in five youths has a mental health condition, with half of mental health conditions developing well before age 14?
The negative stigma and lack of understanding of mental illnesses extends to communities, teachers, health care professionals, school systems, employers and places of worship.
PrairieCare Fund’s goal is to break down barriers, raise awareness and make a difference in the lives of children and families braving mental health challenges.
PrairieCare Fund (PCF) fills a critical gap in education by funding Minnesota schools with grants that help teachers and staff identify, advocate and reduce the stigma of mental health through wellness programs and education. Grant funds are used for suicide prevention, mental illness training for educators & students, fostering healthy relationships & communication and other areas identified as mental health priorities within a school district.
PrairieCare Fund resonates with programs that focus on creating positive outcomes for children, adolescents, educators, and families. Funding for PrairieCare grants are generated through donations from concerned parents, educators, business leaders and communities.
Donate today to help support school mental health programs throughout the state of Minnesota.
